Monsieur Hulot tries to come to terms with the modern world

Jacques Tati, 1967, France, 124 mins.

A superb visual comedy that sees M. Hulot befuddled by the complexity of "modern" Paris in an office building, on the street and at a restaurant. The jokes come so thick and fast you'll have trouble keeping up with them. Look out for the scene where a waiter bearing a large dish of mashed potato above his head walks across the screen looking behind him and ... nothing happens.
